Aww man, this is awful news.

Just as Braun Strowman was really getting over as an unstoppable monster on Raw, an elbow injury forced him out of action for what the WWE originally said would be somewhere between four-to-eight weeks. That was a bummer, but at least the beastly force of nature would be back sooner rather than later, likely in time for a big match at SummerSlam.

Well, you can cancel those plans too.

The WWE confirmed on Monday that Strowman will now be out for up to six months after undergoing surgery on his elbow:

Braun Strowman underwent surgery following the attack by Roman Reigns last Monday on Raw, WWE.com can now confirm.

Immediately after the assault on Strowman’s injured shoulder and elbow by the former WWE Champion, The Monster Among Men left Raw in an ambulance and was able to get back to the United States for an evaluation this past Wednesday. Following the medical consultation, Strowman underwent surgery on Thursday in Birmingham, Ala. with Dr. Jeffrey Dugas. During the procedure it was revealed, among his other injuries, that Strowman’s elbow had been shattered, and he is expected to miss up to six months of action as a result.

That sucks. We were really enjoying Strowman’s violent outbursts and take-no-prisoners attitude! Plus, you know, he was doing awesome things like flipping over ambulances and possibly murdering poor Kalisto in Dumpster Matches. Get well soon, Braun!
