Bobby Heenan Hospitalized After Fall

Legendary wrestling announcer Bobby “The Brain” Heenan has not had the best time of it, post-wrestling. After beating throat cancer in 2002 (a battle which cost him much of his ability to speak as he once had), Heenan has been in and out of hospitals due to various injuries suffered from falls, including being placed in a medically-induced coma in 2007 over complications from jaw reconstruction surgery. This week, we learned from his longtime friend “Mean” Gene Okerlund that The Brain, who is now the ripe old age of 71, is once again in hospital after suffering a nasty fall, and has been there for several days. Our best wishes go out to Heenan and his family at what must certainly be a difficult time.
