Well, here’s some music magic for your day.
During a sold-out show at London’s O2 Arena Monday Night, U2 gave the audience a surprise by bringing up former Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher on stage to close the show. Gallagher joined the band for a rendition of their classic hit “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” before jumping into a brief cover of the Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love.”
Fittingly, Gallagher had one of his trademark incredible quotes ready to describe his feelings towards Bono and the band:
“Of all the people I know, he’s the most fun to hang out with, for sure. He’s a funny f*cker, and he can drink. And he’s got big ideas — for his band and for my music as well, which is astonishing. He’s always giving me titles for songs and albums.”
U2 are currently in the middle of their Innocence + Experience tour, while Gallagher released a solo album with his High Flying Birds earlier this year.
