According to Rolling Stone, die hard fans of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain will have a whole album of new music to listen to on November 13.
The album will be released along with the DVD and Blu-ray versions of Montage of Heck, the recent documentary/collection of old clips movie that hit theaters earlier this year. The album, aptly titled Kurt Cobain – Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings, features 13 tracks. A deluxe double vinyl LP version of the album will include 31 songs. Both versions will also be available digitally.
There is also a Super Deluxe version of the movie, that comes with, “48 minutes of bonus interviews, the 31-track soundtrack on CD and cassette, a 160-page hardbound book with extended interviews, a puzzle, movie poster, postcards and a bookmark. This edition is the only way to obtain the 31-track version of the soundtrack on CD.”
It’s unlikely to sound much like the Nirvana we all know and love, but hearing Cobain’s trademark raspy voice again should mostly make up for that.
