Whether or not you enjoyed Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s hard to deny director Zack Snyder’s love for the source material, which is why DC fans have been convinced ever since the film was released in March 2016 that Snyder has a cameo in the film. The problem is, no one has been able to find him … until now, that is.
The film’s cinematographer, Larry Fong, has not only confirmed that Snyder makes an appearance in the film, but also told fans what scene Snyder is in, and it’s such an unnoticeable appearance that it’s no wonder no one was able to solve the mystery.
Responding to a fan question on Twitter, Fong confirmed that Snyder has a cameo in the scene where Bruce Wayne searches an underground fighting ring while tracking information on Superman. At one point, there’s a close-up shot of Bruce Wayne’s hand picking up a cell phone. Well, it turns out that this is Zack Snyder’s hand, not Ben Affleck’s.
Also, it’s Zack’s hands on Bruce’s cell phone in the fight club. Now you know.

Naturally, some fans thought Fong was trolling them, asking him why Affleck wouldn’t have just shot the scene himself. Fong backed his statement up with the following admission:
“1) often actors don’t want to do little tiny shots; 2) often directors LOVE to.”
Good enough for us!
