Best known to American audiences for her portrayal of Blink in X:Men: Days of Future Past, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing has been ordered to pay over $100 million in fines and penalties after being arrested sometime this summer for tax evasion.
Bingbing had originally disappeared from the public eye in June, but after rumors started to swirl, authorities confirmed that the actress was in custody and was “under control, and will accept the legal decision.”
The actress is being accused of signing multiple contracts for the same job and evading taxes by claiming only the lesser valued contact, allowing her to avoid paying taxes on the larger sum of money she actually signed for, commonly known as “yin-yang” contracts, which are illegal in China.

“Today I’m facing enormous fears and worries over the mistakes I have made. I failed my country which nurtured me; I failed the society which trusted me; I failed the fans who loved me. I offer my sincere apology here once again! I beg for everyone’s forgiveness!”

X-Men Movies: The Hidden Details You May Have Missed
24. The Once & Future King
When we first meet Charles Xavier in X-Men: Apocalypse, he’s reading a passage from T.H. White’s The Once and Future King to his class. This is the same book that Magneto is seen reading in his prison cell in X2: X-Men United and what’s more, it’s even mentioned by Xavier during another lesson in the same movie. The title of White’s book is a reference to the alleged headstone marking the grave of King Arthur and in the comics, it’s one of Xavier’s favorite books. In fact, Xavier sees himself as a Merlin figure as opposed to Arthur, given his relationship as trainer and mentor to his students. It’s safe to assume that Magneto probably sees himself in more of the “once and future king” variety.
