Will Another Justice League Member Be Joining ‘The Flash’ Solo Movie?

Right now, we don’t know much about the DC universe’s upcoming solo movie for The Flash other than that it stars Ezra Miller in the title role and is coming out in 2018. However, if recent comments made by Deborah Snyder — Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder’s wife and producing partner — to Forbes are anything to go by, it sounds like the DC speedster will be joined on screen by one of his Justice League teammates.

“As you can imagine, when we get to the Flash movie, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher — who plays Cyborg — are kind of our youngest characters, and they have a really nice comradery(sic) with each other. Ezra is super funny, so the tone of that film will be very different than the rest of them.”

If true, this is pretty big news. We know that the DC films will all be interconnected much like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it’s been unclear to what extent characters would crossover in each others’ standalone films. Having Cyborg appear in a more popular character’s film may be a good way for Warner Bros. to test the waters and gauge whether or not Cyborg is popular enough with audiences to anchor his own movie.
