What if Superman became a super-villain rather than a hero?
Earlier today, Sony dropped a new trailer for James Gunn’s soon to be released superhero-horror film Brightburn and we couldn’t be more hyped!
Starring Elizabeth Banks and David Denman, Gunn’s upcoming horror flick was co-created with his brother Brian and cousin Mark. Initially, the film was supposed to be released in November of 2018, but after offensive jokes led Disney firing Gunn from the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 project, Sony decided to delay Brightburn’s release until this coming May.
Here’s a quick synopsis of the film:
“What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister? In this horrific take on the classic superhero trope, a couple (Elizabeth Banks and David Denman) adopts a baby who came from the stars. While they attempt to raise the boy (Jackson A. Dunn) to use his powers for good, an evil begins to grow inside that he unleashes.”
