WATCH: Rare Clips Of Chris Farley As Shrek Before He Died

You may have heard before that the late Chris Farley was originally cast as the voice of Shrek, the lovable green ogre who spawned a million straight to DVD sequels for Dreamworks studios.

Farley had reportedly finished roughly 90% of the voice overs before sadly passing away in 1997 before production was finished. Mike Myers stepped in to finish the movie, famously recording Shrek’s entire dialogue twice — once normally and then again in the now-familiar Scottish accent.

Here are some early clips of Farley’s Shrek having a conversation with Donkey (Eddie Murphy). It’s an interesting look at what the movie could have been.
