After a couple days of teaser trailers and posters, Warner Bros. has unleashed the official trailer for Justice League, the Zack Snyder-directed superhero team-up that brings together the likes of Batman, Wonder Woman, and other members of the DC Universe together to face a global threat.
It’s hard to tell from a two-and-a-half minute trailer whether Justice League will deliver the goods and avoid the many missteps of last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, but when you have Ben Affleck’s Batman telling Ezra Miller’s Flash that his superpower is having lots of money, there is reason to hope for the best.
Justice League is out Nov. 17 and stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, with Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Amber Heard (Mera), Jeremy Irons (Alfred) and J.K. Simmons (Commissioner Gordon). Interestingly, despite everyone knowing that Henry Cavill is back in the film as Superman, he’s nowhere to be found in the trailer, which is a bit disappointing. Oh well, should make his inevitable third act appearance where he saves the rest of the team from annihilation that much more impactful.
