Warner Bros. and DC have finally revealed the synopsis for Todd Phillips’ upcoming Joker movie and one thing is abundantly clear, this is not your typical superhero movie. The uber-talented Joaquin Pheonix plays a man named Arthur Fleck, which we’re led to believe is the Joker. That said, nobody can really say for certain until the movie is released, but based on the synopsis below and the trailer released back in April, it would appear Phillips’ film will finally reveal the dark and gritty origin of the Clown Prince of Crime.
“Joker centers around the iconic arch nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. Phillips’ exploration of Arthur Fleck (Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale,”
