Vin Diesel Confirms The Guardians Of The Galaxy Will Be In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

Vin Diesel may not have much to say while playing Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy, but that hasn’t stopped the actor from spilling some exciting Marvel news.

In a Facebook Live video that aired on his personal page Friday, Diesel confirmed that Groot, Star-Lord, Gamora, and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy will be joining the Avengers in their fight against the Mad Titan Thanos in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.

“Now, the Guardians will be included in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and that’s incredibly exciting,” he said addressing the live audience, “You were told before everybody.”

Although Diesel used the video to break some exciting news, his main purpose was to show off an award he received from Facebook for having 100 million fans. He spent much of the 30-minute video thanking fans for their support, including their support in helping him land the part of Groot.

“That whole concept started from you all saying, ‘When are you going to be in a Marvel movie?’” he said.

Diesel didn’t share any other information about Infinity War, but we should learn more about how the Guardians will be involved when Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5, 2017.

Avengers: Infinity War lands in theaters May 4, 2018, exactly six years after the first Avengers was released.
