It’s getting harder and harder to avoid spoilers for pop culture’s biggest moments. Hell, my groupchat with my buddies all agreed to a 48-hour embargo on any Game of Thrones discussions because not everyone is able to watch live on Sunday nights. The other landmark release in April is, of course, Avengers: Endgamethe epic finale of Marvel’s sprawling 22-movie (and 11-year) superhero odyssey.

Maybe you already bought your tickets for opening weekend. Maybe you plan to wait a couple weeks and let the crowds die down a bit. Regardless, it’s even harder to avoid Endgame spoilers right now because a bunch of footage from the movie leaked 10 days early. We won’t be posting it here, nor will we be describing it in any way. But we hear it’s very spoiler heavy and someone troll on the internet will surely try to ruin the movie for as many people as possible. So be careful out there!

Meanwhile, Endgame directors the Russo brothers have reached out on social media to urge everyone to, well, basically shut the hell up. In an open letter posted on their Twitter account, they plead with everyone to keep spoilers to themselves.

Here’s a transcript of the important bits:

“For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers,” the letter reads. “Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga.”

“Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we’re once again asking for your help. When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don’t spoil it for others, the same way you wouldn’t want it spoiled for you.”

“Remember, Thanos still demands your silence.”

So if you’re going opening night (or have actively sought out the leaked footage because you’re an impatient child who just can’t wait and love to ruin things for others), please, please, please, for the love of God, don’t spoiler the movie for everyone else.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters on April 26. While you wait, check out this extensive list of clever foreshadowing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
