The Full Performance Of That Viral ‘Alien’ High School Performance Is Now Online

Earlier this year we shared a video of a high school play that went viral for remaking Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi horror film Alien and today, we’re pleased to announce the student’s entire performance has been made available.

After an outpouring of support from family and friends, as well as celebrities like Josh Gad and Patton Oswalt, the drama club at North Bergen High School in New Jersey, decided to put on an encore performance of the play and this time around, the one and only Sigourney Weaver, who famously played Ellen Ripley in the Alien film franchise, showed up to provide a touching introduction. The full play roughly is an hour and a half in its entirety.

Watch the full performance below, shared by ButtonSmasher:

From the ‘chest-bursting’ scene to Kane’s infamous death, the level of detail and creativity that students displayed is truly remarkable, even more so now that we’ve watched the entire performance. Not only that, knowing the students raised the money and built everything themselves, without the help of the school, makes the student’s achievement even more special.

What aspect of the play impressed you most? What other classic films would make for excellent school plays? Let us know in the comments below?
