Peter Sarsgaard and Jayme Lawson’s role in Matt Reeves’ The Batman have officially been revealed. Best known for roles in Jarhead and Black Mass, Sarsgaard will play Gotham City District Attorney Gil Colson. Newcomer Jayme Lawson, on the other hand, will play Gotham mayoral candidate, Bella Reál.
Now, as far as we know, both Gil Colson and Bella Reál are completely unknown characters, which means Reeves has written in new characters or these names are nothing more than aliases and we’ll find out more at a later date.
For those who missed it, last night Reeves officially announced on Twitter that The Batman had officially begun filming, along with the caption “#DayOne #TheBatman.”
