Yesterday we learned that Star Wars: Episode VIII is getting pushed back seven months from its original May 2017 release to December 15, 2017, which wasn’t very surprising considering blockbuster movies get delayed all the time. Now we’ve learned that Sony is taking the opposite approach with the next Spider-Man, which now has a slightly earlier release of July 7, 2017 instead of July 28.

The third Spider-Man reboot in less than 15 years, the new live-action film starring Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei has been moved up to replace Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which now has a May 26, 2017 release scheduled.

Unsurprisingly, Sony also announced that Jumanji is being delayed from Dec. 25, 2016 to July 28, 2017, meaning it will take Spider-Man‘s previous slot. A reboot of the 1995 film starring Robin Williams, Jumanji is being directed by Jake Kasdan but currently has no announced cast.

Viewers will get to see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man even earlier than July 7, 2017, as he is set to appear in Captain America: Civil War, which hits theaters May 6, 2016.
