Deadpool and Spider-Man may be fighting crime together in one of Marvel’s most entertaining comics right now, but getting the pair together on screen is not bound to happen anytime soon.

With Deadpool under 20th Century Fox’s umbrella and Spider-Man newly established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is little chance of seeing the Merc with a Mouth and Spidey trade hilarious insults in a future movie. Fortunately, one fan too it upon himself to make things right and get the pair together by splicing together scenes from Captain America: Civil War and the Deadpool movie.

The scene is super short and leaves quite a bit to be desired, but it certainly accomplishes what it sets out to do — which is prove that Deadpool and Spider-Man need to share the screen together ASAP!

Youtube user Zach Ace put the clip together, but he credits Reddit user riceandnori for creating the original GIF of Deadpool drawing Spidey and himself together that inspired him to make the video. The mashup has gained so much popularity that even Ryan Reynolds has responded to it. Considering how hard Reynolds fought to get a Deadpool movie off the ground in the first place, perhaps this video will inspire him to get Marvel and Fox to play nice and allow the two characters to finally meet.

One can dream, right?
