Spider-Man: Homesick… brilliant!

Even though the trailer is only fan-made, YouTuber Teaser PRO’s concept, fittingly titled Spider-Man Homesick, does a beautiful job of giving us a glimpse of what it might look like when Tom Holland’s Spidey and Tom Hardy’s Venom finally meet and the storyline is so much darker than we could have imagined.

With all due respect to Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3, the thought of watching Spidey and Venom go toe-to-toe on the big screen is still very much a childhood dream of mine and although we have very little knowledge as to what Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 will be about, the addition of Eddie Brock seems like a great idea. We weren’t the biggest fans of the Tony Stark cameo, but the darker tone and potential of Holland’s Spidey being taken over by Venom is an intriguing idea and one we’d kind of like to see explored.

Sony recently announced an untitled Spider-Man spin-off movie was the works and we have reason to believe its the long-awaited Sinister Six movie fans have been waiting for. If that checks out, Venom joining the third Spider-Man movie actually makes a lot of sense and would set the stage beautifully for Venom to join the Sinister Six after that. The untitled Spider-Man movie will arrive in theatres (barring any delays) on October 2021, a few months after Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 opens in July, so the timing really couldn’t be better.

What did you think of the Homesick teaser trailer? Would you like to see Spidey face off against Venom in the Marvel’s upcoming third Spider-Man film, or would you rather than wait until he faces a member of the Sinister Six? Let us know in the comments
