RUMOR: Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ May Feature Deathstroke

While we know that Deathstroke, who is being played by Joe Manganiello, will be one of the main villains of Ben Affleck’s Batman movie when it is released in 2018, a new Justice League set photo dropped by director Zack Snyder has the internet buzzing that the DC mercenary could be involved in next year’s superhero ensemble.

Snyder posted this photo of himself messing around on a tablet while wearing Batman’s gauntlet:

It’s definitely a cool image on its own, but detail-hungry fans did some digging and discovered that Snyder is actually working on a scene that features Deathstroke with his mask off. It also appears that Deathstroke is talking with somebody in said scene. The speculation right now is that Deathstroke is speaking with Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor, who has a confirmed role in Justice League, and that Luthor may be hiring Deathstroke to take someone out, most likely Batman.

With Justice League already revolving around Darkseid’s evil henchman Steppenwolf as the main villain, it’s unlikely that the film will have much time to devote to Deathstroke if he does have a role, but perhaps Snyder is setting up an antagonistic relationship between the merc and Batman that will be explored further in Affleck’s solo film. Guess we’ll find out in November 2017 when Justice League hits theaters.
