Iron Man and Spider-Man’s team-up won’t be ending anytime soon, as The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Robert Downey Jr. has officially signed onto Spider-Man: Homecoming.
This news comes as quite a surprise, as Downey’s current deal with Marvel only includes appearances in Civil War, and Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and 2. Sources are saying that the actor’s appearance in Homecoming is part of a new deal.
Although there is no word yet on whether or not Downey is contracted to appear in additional Marvel pictures, this news suggests that we could see Iron Man in more future films than we were expecting.
Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7, 2017.
