While it’s been confirmed that Steppenwolf, not Darkseid, will be the main villain in Justice League (although Darkseid will still play an important role) many Suicide Squad fans had been hoping that Zack Snyder’s film would find a way to incorporate Jared Leto’s Joker into the proceedings. Rumors of Leto’s involvement have spiked recently, with an Iceland travel guide mentioning him as being part of the Justice League cast (the film is set to film there next month). However, it looks like reports of Leto’s involvement are untrue.
According to The Wrap’s Umbert Gonzalez, there are currently no plans for Leto’s Joker to appear in Justice League next year.
Sorry DC fanboys. Yesterday's rumor that surfaced about Jared Leto being in JUSTICE LEAGUE? Unfortunately, not true. #DEADED

As great as this news is (personally, I’m in no hurry to see Leto’s Joker again), there is still plenty of time for the situation to change. After all, Ezra Miller’s Flash cameo was added to Suicide Squad at the last minute, so a quick cameo from Leto in Justice League would be relatively easy to accomplish if Warner Bros. is so inclined.
However, seeing as how it’s still unclear whether Leto will even continue to play the Joker in future DC Extended Universe movies and the actor’s penchant for acting like a sociopath on and off the set, it’s hard to see WB bothering with a cameo unless it’s really important that Justice League have a Joker moment.
