Warner Bros has released the first teaser trailer for It: Chapter 2, a supernatural horror film and the sequel to the 2017 film It. The trailer begins with Beverly Marsh (Jessica Chastain), speaking with old women about her return to Derry, but as the trailer progresses it becomes terrifyingly obvious that she’s speaking with Mrs. Kersh, one of the other forms that IT took in the original miniseries to terrorize victims. After that, all hell breaks loose.

Directed by Andy Muschietti and based on the 1986 novel by Stephen King, It: Chapter 2 stars James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough, Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie Tozier, Jay Ryan as Ben Hanscom, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, Andy Bean as Stan Uris, and Bill Skarsgård as It/Pennywise.

Twenty-seven years after the events of the summer of 1989, It (Bill Skarsgård) returns. The Losers’ Club fulfill their promises and return to Derry to put an end to the evil being once and for all. Unbeknownst to them, It has returned, stronger and crueler than ever.

News of the trailer’s release was initially announced by Stephen King on Twitter and judging by his reaction, the film is going to be a hit, much like the first.
