Every week, there seems to be new casting news regarding Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which counts such stars as Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Margot Robbie, and even Al Pacino among its stacked cast list. However, we’ve known from the start that Charles Manson would be a prominent figure in the movie and details about who would be taking the role have been kept quiet … until now, that is.

As reported by The Wrap, Damon Herriman will be playing ol’ Charlie Manson in Tarantino’s flick. Justified fans will of course know Herriman thanks to his unforgettable role as bumbling idiot criminal Dewey Crowe, but the Australian actor is still a bit of an unknown, which honestly might be a good thing for a role like this. The only real concern we have is that, at 48, Herriman is a bit old for the role of a younger Manson (the film is set in 1969, which would put Manson’s age at 35) but he admittedly looks much younger, so we’re sure he can pull it off.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood opens July 26, 2019. We can’t wait to see the first trailer for this thing!
