If you were one of many fans looking forward to watching the upcoming James Bond film No Time to Die in theatres on April 10th, sadly, you’ll have to wait a little longer.

This afternoon the official James Bond Twitter account released a statement announcing that No Time to Die has been pushed back until November 2020, over the growing concern of the coronavirus outbreak and closure of the second biggest box office market in the world (China). The outbreak has already resulted in significant losses to the film industry as a whole, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see more movies get pushed back in the coming weeks.

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of NO TIME TO DIE will be postponed until November 2020,” wrote a tweet from the official James Bond Twitter account. “The film will be released in the U.K. on November 12, 2020 with worldwide release dates to follow, including the US launch on November 25, 2020.”

No Time to Die is one of the year’s most anticipated films, and seeing as it also happens to be Daniel Craig’s final outing as Bond, we don’t want a release date to jeopardize the film’s box office projection.

Do you agree with Universal’s decision to delay the film’s release until November, or would you prefer the studio have come up with an alternative response? Now that Craig’s days of playing Bond are over (following No Time to Die), who do you think should be the next 007? Let us know in the comments below.
