A new special look Star Wars trailer was released during the American Music Awards (AMAS) last night, and although it didn’t show any new footage of the final installment in J.J. Abrams’ sequel trilogy, the nostalgic-filled trailer brought back all the feels by flawlessly capturing how the iconic franchise has influenced pop culture over the past four decades. From behind the scenes footage to interviews of the cast members (past and present), last night’s special look reminds us why we fell in love with the space opera, to begin with.
Over the past few months, while fans have attempted to predict how the story will end, Disney and everyone else involved have been busy promoting The Rise of Skywalker as not only the final chapter of the Star Wars saga but as a film that will illustrate how everything is connected.
