Netflix Releases Foul-Mouthed New Trailer For ‘Coffee & Kareem’

Netflix has released the hilarious and foul-mouthed red-band trailer for the buddy cop film Coffee & Kareem, Directed by Michael Dowse (Goon, What If), Netflix’s upcoming comedy is about a police officer named James Coffee, who begins a new relationship with a woman named Vanessa (Taraji P. Henson), but her 12-year-old has other plans. While attempting to break them up, Kareem (Terrence Little Gardenhigh) and James witnesses a murder and the unlikely duo are forced to work together if they hope to survive. Coffee & Kareem arrives on Netflix on April 3. The film also stars Betty Gilpin, RonReaco Lee, Andrew Bachelor, and David Alan Grier.

Here’s the official synopsis for Coffee & Kareem:

While police officer James Coffee (Ed Helms) enjoys his new relationship with Vanessa Manning (Taraji P. Henson), her beloved 12-year-old son Kareem (Terrence Little Gardenhigh) plots their break-up. Attempting to scare away his mom’s boyfriend for good, Kareem tries to hire criminal fugitives to take him out but accidentally exposes a secret network of criminal activity, making his family its latest target. To protect Vanessa, Kareem teams up with Coffee – the partner he never wanted – for a dangerous chase across Detroit. From director Michael Dowse (Stuber, Goon), COFFEE & KAREEM is an action-comedy about forging unexpected bonds, one four-letter insult at a time. Co-starring Betty Gilpin, RonReaco Lee, Andrew Bachelor and David Alan Grier.
