Get ready movie fans, because director Craig Zahler is coming back with another gritty and violent drama starring Vince Vaughn. This time Mel Gibson is coming along for the ride, as Dragged Across Concrete will hit theaters on March 22.
This first trailer doesn’t show much (which can be a good thing when it comes to keeping spoilers underwraps), but here’s the film synopsis:
DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE follows two police detectives who find themselves suspended when a video of their strong-arm tactics is leaked to the media. With little money and no options, the embittered policemen descend into the criminal underworld and find more than they wanted waiting in the shadows.
Vaughn and Zahler previously worked together in Brawl in Cell Block 99, and this new movie looks like a step up. Not only does it feature more star power — Don Johnson (Django Unchained), Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter), Tory Kittles (Sons of Anarchy), Laurie Holden (The Americans), Fred Melamed (Casual), and Michael Jai White (Arrow) will also be featured — but the movie is going to be a marathon length at over two and a half hours long.
