With no trailer expected to arrive until April at the earliest, fans have been eagerly scooping up any morsel of Star Wars: The Last Jedi information they can find, as we still don’t know all that much about the film with only nine months to go before its release.

One thing we do know is that Mark Hamill will have a much bigger role this time out and will actually have dialogue! As it turns out, there are some people who have even heard him speak, as shareholders from The Walt Disney Company were treated to an early morning meeting on Wednesday where they got to hear Luke Skywalker speak for the first time since 1983.

Los Angeles Times reporter was at the presentation and tweeted out the first words spoken by the old Jedi during the footage for The Last Jedi that Disney screened. The scene appears to be a continuation of the one that closed out The Force Awakens, with Rey (Daisy Ridley) offering Luke his father’s lightsaber. This prompts Luke to ask, “Who are you?”

While it appears that there isn’t much other notable dialogue in the footage, Miller also noted that there were appearances by Chewbacca, Finn, and General Leia Organa.

Miller also described seeing many differen “exotic” locales, suggesting that The Last Jedi will feature much more impressive planetscapes than The Force Awakens did.

The long, agonizing wait for a first trailer continues …
