‘Lego Star Wars’ Reveals How Poe Dameron Survived Crash Landing on Jakku

Star Wars: The Force Awakens introduced us to a handsome new Resistance hero in Poe Dameron, right before promptly crashing him into the surface of Jakku as he tried to escape Kylo Ren with his new buddy, Stormtrooper-turned-good-guy Finn.

Seemed like Poe was dead, although the movie didn’t specifically confirm it. Finn wore Poe’s jacket as a tribute to his fallen friend, only to have Dameron pop back up near the end of the movie, alive and well and leading pilot missions for the Resistance. But how did he survive that awful crash on Jakku?

In the latest DLC for Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a new story mission fills in the blanks of the story. Unfortunately, the writing leaves a little to be desired. Apparently, Finn is just really bad at searching through rubble for other people. He was there the whole time. Then a friendly alien finds him and helps him get back on track. And that’s pretty much it.

The DLC package, which costs $2.99, contains a vehicle chase scene, a puzzle/Lego building section, and a cover shooting scene. The whole thing can be played in roughly 15 minutes, according to this Let’s Play from Kotaku:

(Spoiler Alert: This video will ruin the entire DLC for those who wanted to keep it a surprise.)
