Lando Will Be In The ‘Young Han Solo’ Movie And Disney Already Has An Actor In Mind

As reported by The Wrap, everyone’s favorite double-crossing hero Lando Calrissian has been confirmed for the Young Han Solo movie and it looks like Disney already has a front-runner for the part.

Donald Glover of Community and Childish Gambino fame is reportedly Disney’s first choice for the part of Young Lando, originally played by Billy Dee Williams in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. That being said, nothing has been confirmed but for what’s it worth, Glover seems like a solid choice.

Side note: was there ever any doubt that Lando would be in this film? His whole character introduction in the original trilogy revolved around him being someone from Han’s past, so you almost have to see Han encounter him at some point. Hopefully, Lando’s role will be more substantial than just being the guy who loses the Millennium Falcon in a card game though, which is guaranteed to be a scene in the still-untitled film. Source:

The Untitled Han Solo Anthology Film (come on Disney, give this thing a title already) will be directed by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord and is scheduled to hit theaters May 25, 2018.
