Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper Reunite Yet Again in Upcoming Biopic “Joy”

Proving once again that his life mission seems to be casting Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper together in every one of his films until the day he dies (seriously, they’re 15-years-apart in age; it’s getting weird), the teaser trailer for David O. Russell’s next film, Joy, reunites the pair, along with Robert De Niro, for the third consecutive time after 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook and 2013’s American Hustle.

A biopic of Joy Mangano, an American inventor most well-known for inventing the Miracle Mop, Joy stars Lawrence as the title character, a woman who, judging by the trailer, is destined to invent great things. It’s a suitably rousing dramatic film trailer, helped along by The Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” and will probably be part of the usual end of the year awards discussions, if the outpouring of adoration by Academy voters for O. Russell’s films in the last few years is any indication.

Joy is set for release on Christmas Day.
