Hugh Jackman Reacts To Kumail Nanjiani’s Wolverine-Inspired Photo

If you had told us a few years ago while watching HBO’s Silicon Valley that Dinesh Chugtai, played by the hilarious Kumail Nanjiani, would now be jacked and posing as Wolverine, we would have shown you the door. With all due respect to Kumail, who we’re actually big fans of, the body transformation he made for his role Marvel’s Eternals is nothing short of extraordinary.

The Marvel star recently showed off his new figure in an issue of Men’s Health magazine by recreating iconic moments from classic films like Die Hard, American Psycho, and Top Gun (pictured below). Shortly after sharing the photos on Instagram, everyone from Chris Hemsworth to Seth Green reacted to the star’s new look, but it was Hugh Jackman’s response to Kumail’s Wolverine-inspired photo that might be the coolest.

“Wow! That really looks like the set. That is so cool. … If you’ve done all that work, get your shirt off!”

Kumail will play Kingo in the upcoming Eternals movie, a cosmic-powered member of an alien race with near-immortality, super-strength, flight, energy projection, and molecular manipulation. Kingo, in particular, prefers to fight in the traditional manner of the Samurai. Directed by newcomer Chloé Zhao, Eternals also stars Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, Barry Keoghan, Angelina Jolie, and Kit Harington.

Are you looking forward to Eternals, or would you have preferred Marvel Studios have focused on X-Men or the Fantastic Four first? Let us know in the comments below.
