Hilarious ‘Cats’ Horror Movie Mash-Up Trailer Gets Stephen King’s Approval

Ever since Universal Pictures released the first trailer for Tom Hopper’s upcoming fantasy film Cats, the internet has been having a field day with the oddly terrifying adaptation of Andrew Llyod Webber’s classic musical. Fortunately for us, one YouTuber took the trolling to a whole new level by posting a mash-up trailer that turns Cats into a horror film and as you might expect, the trailer quickly spread like wildfire.

Created by YouTuber Id Watch That, the hilarious mash-up trailer features the recently released Cats trailer intercut with scenes from Stephen King‘s Pet Sematary (2019), Netflix’s Bird Box (2018), John Krasinski’s A Quiet Place (2018). Best of all, the trailer eventually caught the attention of the King of Horror himself, Stephen King, who approved (which is awesome) and proceed to share the trailer on Twitter with the caption: “I got nothin’.”

What did you think of the horror-movie mash-up? Would you be more inclined to see Cats if it were a horror? Let us know in the comments below.
