The Academy Awards will soon be here again to honor the best of the film industry from the past year. Only a few movies that really fit in with Goliath’s core audience picked up nominations, including the intellectual sci-fi flick Arrival and the gritty Texas drama Hell or High Water. Zootopia, Moana, and Kubo and the Two Strings lead the way in the Best Animated Picture category, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story picked up a Best Visual Effects nod.

Otherwise, critical darlings like La La Land and Manchester by the Sea seem to dominate the nominees.
