Advancements in technology have forever changed the way we shoot and produce films. With such a large portion of the budget going to special effects nowadays, the fictional landscapes and structures seen on screen have become so realistic it can be difficult to tell what is real and what is CGI.

A few days ago, Angie’s List reached out to let us in on a fun project they’d launched involving hand-drawn posters of fictional architecture from popular movie and tv franchises. With the help of talented artist Luis Gómez Feliu, Angie’s List created posters for eight of their favorite fictional universes, including Star Wars, Marvel, Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Dark Crystal, Ghibli, and Skyrim.

After seeing what these breathtaking pen-and-paper illustrations for ourselves, we couldn’t wait to share the project with our readers. Check out each of the hand-drawn posters depicting the fictional structures below.
