George Lucas Says R2-D2 Is Narrator Of Star Wars Movies

In a new book titled How Star Wars Conquered The Universe by Chris Taylor, it is revealed that according to Star Wars creator George Lucas, the entire story is actually being narrated by R2-D2, a hundred years after the events of the movies occurred. Yes, Luke Skywalker’s astromech droid, whose only form of communication comes in beeps and whistles, is apparently the keeper of “The Journal of Whills”, a recording of everything that has ever happened in the Star Wars universe (yes, even events that R2-D2 was not present for). The movies are visual recreations of the events as told by the droid years later, which would probably explain why everything Star Wars-related always begins with the line “A long time ago in a galaxy far, Far away…”
