Game Of Thrones Star Talks About The Series’ Finale

Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner recently went on a phone-interview to promote her upcoming film X-Men: Dark Phoenix and the trailer that just released for it, during the interview she briefly speaks about the coming end of Game of Thrones. She suggests that the finale’s reception will be mixed among fans; some will be happy and some will be heartbroken.

She said the following when talking about the finale

“A lot of tears. I think, you know, as an actor it was really satisfying — I think for everyone, everyone’s storylines — to be able to act out the way that it all ends. It was really satisfying for us,” Turner said. “Who knows if it will be satisfying for the fans. I think a lot of fans will be disappointed and a lot of fans will be over the moon, I think. I think it will be really interesting to see people’s reactions, but for me reading the script it was just like heartbreaking to read at the very final page of the script it just says, ‘End of Game of Thrones’. That was really emotional.”

Turner also teased a bit of character development info for her character. Throughout the previous seasons Sansa possessed one of the most unstable lives of the series, generally not being in control and not knowing what she wants. She says Sansa becomes her own person in the final episodes and many fans have been waiting for that a long time, saying…

“She kind of takes ownership over who she is and what she stands for. Over the course of the series she’s been completely unaware of what she wants, where she wants to be, who she really is, and at the end of this season, I feel she is the most self-assured character in the show.”

This would suggest we’ll finally see a new aspect to Sansa and what she’s wanted through the series, and I don’t think Cersei will like it very much at all.

What do you think will go down in the series’ final season? Let us know in the comments section.
