Details surrounding the Bond franchise have been coming out fairly steadily, including some info regarding the upcoming Bond 25, which is set to be Daniel Craig’s fifth and final time appearing on-screen as James Bond. Last month, it was announced that Cary Fukunaga (True Detective, Maniac) had replaced Danny Boyle as director.
Though its definitely an interesting prospect, the Bond franchise is pretty well known for having a lot of casting rumors, and with other great considerations for the role like Tom Hardy, Idris Elba, Henry Cavill, and others, it’s hard to say who the production team will pick for the role.
With Daniel Craig having been such a great pick for the role for so many years, it’ll certainly be interesting to see how whoever is picked will perform in comparison.
Who do you think the production team will settle on for the role? Is Madden the right choice for 007? Let us know what you think in the comments section!

License To Thrill: The 12 Best James Bond Films Of All Time

The James Bond 007 series is the longest-running film franchise with an astounding 23 and counting films over a 53 year period. To say that Bond has had a profound effect on popular culture and filmmaking in general would be a vast understatement. James Bond represents an idealized masculinity with his jet-setting lifestyle full of fast cars and fast women. He’s also a deeply flawed character with questionable morals and many of his films have come under fire from critics due to their poor representations of women and minorities. That being said, many of the films are still entertaining and the modern Bond films have done a lot to address these criticisms. Out of 23 films, there have been some significant hits, as well as a fair share of turds in the mix. The following 12 James Bond films are arguably the best of the bunch though and shouldn’t be missed by anyone with an interest in the series.
12. Live and Let Die (1973)
The eighth entry into the Bond franchise and the first to star Roger Moore as the titular secret agent, Live and Let Die is the strongest of Moore’s Bond films and the only one which doesn’t waste too much time on ridiculous gadgets and the over the top shenanigans, puns and action that made the Bond franchise a bit of a joke during his tenure. Live and Let Die, whose cultural legacy also includes the spectacular Bond song “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney & Wings, sees Moore’s Bond investigating the death of several fellow agents, a mystery which leads him to cross paths with a dangerous Caribbean dictator. A fairly ridiculous film which plays heavily on racial stereotypes (occasionally to an inappropriate level), Live and Let Die is the first of only two Roger Moore films that make an appearance on this list, as most of his other films are far more ridiculous affairs that we simply couldn’t justify as having a place amongst Bond’s best adventures.
