Stan Lee’s stories and characters have been adapted to the big screen countless times over the years, but now the comic book legend is set to get a cinematic adventure of his own!

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Twentieth Century Fox has acquired the movie rights to Stan Lee’s life and rather than create a boring biopic, the studio plans to create a period action-adventure movie in the style of Kingsman: The Secret Service or “Roger Moore’s 007,” as one insider puts it.

Lee will serve as executive producer on the film alongside his partner at POW! Entertainment, Gil Champion (what a name).

The story of Lee’s life is well known to comic book fans, especially those of the Marvel variety. Lee, whose real name is Stanley Lieber, entered the comic book industry at the age of 17 in 1939, working for his uncle at Timely Comics.  He would eventually go onto to create Marvel Comics as we know it today, giving birth to characters such as The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Hulk, Iron Man, and many others alongside collaboraters such as Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko.

Fittingly, the new project will cast Lee as the hero of his own larger-than-life adventure (although another actor will certainly be brought onto play Lee, who is 93-years-old. No writer or director has yet been hired on for the currently untitled project.
