Director James Mangold, best known for Ford v Ferrari and Logan, has signed on to helm an upcoming biopic based on the life of Bob Dylan, starring the Oscar-nominated Timothée Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name and Little Women) as young Dylan in the film.

According to a recent report by Deadline, although Searchlight Pictures and Mangold closed the deal, Chalamet has yet to sign on the dotted line officially. We hear it’s only a matter of time, especially now that Mangold is attached, but as of right now, the role Dylan is wide open. If not Chalamet, we’d love to see another up-and-coming actor like Lucas Hedges (Lady Bird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Charlie Plummer (All the Money in the World and Boardwalk Empire) or Callum Turner (The Only Living Boy in New York and Green Room), get a shot.

If Chalamet does decide to walks away from the project, who would you like to play the iconic musician? Let us know in the comments below.
