Fast 8 stars Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson have been locked in an ongoing feud of sorts for the last few weeks ever since Johnson called out “some” of his male costars for being “chicken s—” and “candy a–,” with People later reporting that tensions had been hot between the two actors on the film’s set for months. Now, Diesel and Johnson’s costar Jason Statham has weighed in on the feud and understandably, he wants no part of any of it.
“I stay out of any bickering or any troubles that people have,” the 49-year-old Statham told People when asked about Johnson’s original controversial Instagram post. “I have nothing to do with it and I don’t want any part of it.”
“Look, Dwayne’s hit own man and what he says he’s entitled to say in his own way,” Statham continued. “And what he wants to say — you’ve got to ask him.”
Statham, for his part, admits that he’s had a great time making Fast 8. “I loved the whole experience of working with that whole crew and the team — and the cast has just been phenomenal. He also admits that he’s “a good friend of Dwayne’s” and that he’d “like to keep it that way.”
Hmm, name-checking The Rock as a friend but not Vin Diesel … did Statham just unwittingly wade into this feud after all?
