Doctor Doom Actor Wants to Play Character Again — But Only in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

In what is becoming a growing trend amongst actors who play Marvel characters outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Toby Kebbell has said that he’s love to play the role of Doctor Doom again, but on one condition — in a movie not made by Fox.

Kebbell played the supervillain in 2015’s awful Fantastic Four reboot, which is pretty much considered one of the worst comic book film adaptations ever. The 34-year-old actor recently attended the premiere for Kong: Skull Island and had this to say about jumping back into the role:

Yeah, [I’d return] if they lend him out like a footballer. They do with Spider-Man! (Via Hey U Guys)

Kebbell is referring to the deal that Sony Studios made with Marvel Studios to let Spider-Man appear in Captain America: Civil War and the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War two-parter, despite Sony owning exclusive movie rights to the wall-crawler. The Marvel produced movies have mostly been excellent, while the Fox and Sony offerings have been hit-or-miss, at best.

Kebbell isn’t the only actor who wishes he could be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Hugh Jackman, who has risen to great fame while playing the iconic X-Men character of Wolverine for the last 15 years, recently said he would reconsider retiring from the role if he was allowed to be in the Avengers movies.

Make it happen, Disney!
