Deadpool Celebrates Major Award Nomination With Hilarious NSFW Video

Deadpool had one of the most entertaining advertising campaigns for any movie ever, with Ryan Reynolds donning his red mercenary suit to appear in funny photos, self-referential Green Lantern jokes, the 12 days of Deadpool, Valentine’s Day pranks, and other fourth wall-breaking marketing stunts.

Clearly, the film’s unconventional advertising campaign paid off in the forms of box office success (it’s made almost $800 million worldwide to date), but it’s also earned a 2016 Clio Award nomination for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign. What’s a Clio, you ask? Well, Mad Men’s Don Draper won one, so you know they’re a pretty big deal.

Anyway, Ryan Reynolds/Mr. Pool is back in a new video talking about the nomination and why his film deserves to win. He reminisces about the Deadpool marketing campaign’s many successes, including tastefully murdering Mario Lopez and causing a roomful of “virgins” at Comic-Con to lose control of their bodily functions. Heck, he even promoted testicular cancer awareness.
