David Fincher and Trent Reznor Are Working On A New Fight Club… Musical?

Ever since David Fincher released his brilliant film adaption of Fight Club, based on the Chuck Palahniuk novel of the same name, fans have been begging for another glimpse into the crazy universe of Tyler Durden, Marla Singer, and Project Mayhem.

Palahniuk has released a Fight Club 2, but in comic book form, which isn’t exactly what movie fans were hoping for. Keeping in the non-traditional sequel theme, Fincher is now reportedly working with Trent Reznor to make a Fight Club musical. Yes, a musical.

At first thought, the concept of a Fight Club rock opera seems silly. But when you consider that Fincher and Reznor has a long history of doing great work together — Reznor has provided the music for Fincher’s last three movies — it actually could be pretty cool.

Jeff Goldsmith originally broke the news on Twitter during Comic-Con last week.
