Time to play!

Orion Pictures has officially released the first full trailer for the upcoming Child’s Play reboot, written by Tyler Burton Smith and directed by Lars Klevberg. The film is said to be both a remake and reboot of Tom Holland’s 1988 slasher film of the same name and stars Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, Brian Tyree Henry, Tim Matheson, and Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky. The trailer does a decent job of laying the groundwork for those unfamiliar with the story, without giving away the entire (cough*  Hobbs & Shaw cough*) plot.

Here’s a quick synopsis of the film.

A contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic, Child’s Play follows Karen (Aubrey Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Gabriel Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature.
