It’s only a matter of time before Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord and the other Guardians of the Galaxy meet up with the rest of the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as we already know that the Guardians will be a part of Avengers: Infinity War. That being said, there are certain characters that won’t make the cut for Infinity War, which is a shame because Pratt wants Star-Lord to interact with one in particular.
Recently, We Got This Covered asked Chris Pratt who he’d like Star-Lord to meet and he replied that he’d want to see Peter Quill meet up with The Punisher, while also acknowledging that Jon Bernthal’s character won’t be in the film.
“Oh, gosh. I don’t know. I’ll have to leave all that to Marvel, releasing who’s going to fight what. Me personally, I don’t even know the right answer to that. If I say the wrong thing I’ll get in trouble by Marvel or by the fans. It’d be awesome — I would like Peter Quill to meet the Punisher. He’s not in the movies, but if I’m talking Marvel Cinematic Universe, I think it’d be cool for Peter Quill. Punisher was my favorite growing up so that’d be cool for me to meet him.”
While having The Punisher and Star-Lord meet up isn’t exactly impossible, it’s highly unlikely. Despite being interconnected under the Marvel Cinematic Universe umbrella, Marvel’s TV and Movie divisions are two separate entities run by different studios, which makes crossovers between the two very difficult to arrange.Source: Marvel
Oh well, at least it’s only a matter of time until we get to see Star-Lord and Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark trade witty insults with one another (with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the mix for good measure). It’s been a long time coming …
