Paramount and Hasbro are officially moving forward with the live-action Micronauts movie, and we couldn’t be more intrigued.

Earlier today, we learned a casting breakdown was sent out for the upcoming Micronauts film adaptation. Although no names were revealed, we can confirm Paramount is currently searching for four lead characters (Female Explorer of Color, Female Leader Soldier, Male Soldier, and Teenage Male Lead) and five supporting characters (“Seen It All” Explorer, Alien Explorer, Female Villain, Lead Villain, Robot Explorer). As reported by The Hollywood Reporter back in September 2019,  the upcoming film will be written and directed by How to Train Your Dragon and Lilo & Stitch’s Dean DeBlois.

Check out the official casting breakdown below:

For those less familiar, Micronauts was a popular ’70s toy line manufactured by Mego during the late ’70s. The toyline consisted of various action figures, vehicles, robots, and playsets and was also known for having interchangeable parts that could be transferred and connected between different toys.
