‘Captain Marvel’ Concept Art Suggests A Major Marvel Character Is Actually A Skrull

With Captain Marvel release less than a week away, fans are eager to find out how the film will affect the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward, especially with Avengers: Endgame on the horizon. As a result, the internet has become flooded with fan theories and potential spoilers, everyone claiming to know or have insider information about what’s to come. While a majority of the theories have been nothing more than crap, on Sunday a photo was posted on Reddit and it appears to hint that a major Marvel character is in fact, a Skrull.

WARNING: Potential Spoilers

Thanks to u/segioprism, the Reddit user who posted the photo on the Marvel Studios subreddit, it would appear that Nick Fury, the former director of S.H.I.E.L.D., has been playing us all. Based on the picture below, Fury might have been a Skrull in disguise this whole time. The photo is said to have come from Captain Marvel: The Art of the Movie, and clearly shows a Skrull transforming into Samuel L. Jackson and this raises a lot of questions moving forward. First of all, how long has he been a Skrull and what does this mean for the future of the MCU? If Fury is a Skrull, why did he assemble the Avengers?

Hello, I’ve seen this image on fb with no context, it could be a possible spoiler! from marvelstudios

What do you make of the picture? Could this just be another clever redirect by the Russo Brothers and Marvel to distract fans or is there actually some truth to this photo? Let us know in the comments below.
