Captain America: Civil War

Captain America: Civil War – Martin Freeman’s Role Finally Revealed

Captain America: Civil War  is absolutely stacked with talent and one such individual is British actor Martin Freeman. Up until now, Freeman’s role in the film has been a closely-guarded secret, but thanks to a scoop from Empire Magazine we now know which character he will be playing.

As it turns out, Freeman is playing Everett Ross. Who is Everett Ross? In the comics, Ross is the U.S. government’s go-to man in Wakanda, the fictional African that Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) calls home. In Civil War, Ross is part of the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre, so expect him to be very much on the opposite side of this conflict from the likes of Cap (Chris Evans) and Bucky (Sebastian Stan).

Given his connection to Black Panther, it’s highly likely that Freeman will get to reprise the role in that character’s standalone film, set for a 2018 release.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6.
