The Rambo franchise has been loved by many for decades. It’s a timeless, iconic action series. Despite this, there hasn’t been an entry into the franchise in a decade although one will be coming to us next fall, and we’re getting a steady stream of details as the date approaches.

It’s been revealed that the fifth movie in the franchise will be subtitled Last Blood, which is very suggestive to any familiar with the earlier Rambo films.

Rambo: First Blood was the title of the first Rambo film, so for them to name this one Last Blood, it may be suggestive of this being the final entry into the Rambo film series.

Sylvester Stallone has been at the helm of the Rambo franchise for it’s entire life and has made the series one that will be remembered and will outlast a lifetime. Fans should be excited to see him making a return to the big screen for possibly the last time.

Paz Vega has been announced to be joining the cast to play the role of a news reporter who’s half-sister is kidnapped and he decides to work with Rambo towards her rescue.

It’s also been revealed that the director of Get The Gringo, Adrian Grunberg, is the director of the film.

Stallone has already confirmed that filming for Rambo: Last Blood has already begun. If all goes according to plan as far as shooting, casting and production go, we can expect to see the film hit theaters in the fall of 2019.

What’re your thoughts on a fifth Rambo film? Are you glad to see them returning to a great storyline or are you worried they’ll tarnish the image of the much-loved franchise? Let us know in the comments below!
